Congratulations to the 13 students who received the 2017 Dean’s Award for Life Science Research! Through COMPASS Life Sciences, students received in total over $65,000 from the Dean, furthering their research in various areas ranging from Physical Therapy to Mathematics.

About the Award

Interested in doing science research this summer? Current UCLA AB540-eligible Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors majoring in one of the Life Sciences can earn a Dean’s Award for Life Science Research.

Award is approx. $2000/month. In addition to full-time hands-on research (40 h/week or 30 h/week if also taking a maximum of one summer course), provides mentoring, career seminars, and the chance to network with faculty and peers. Spend the summer doing meaningful research that contributes to a field of science.
