UCLA Community Programs Office
The UCLA Community Programs Office serves as an umbrella department for the Student Initiated Outreach Center, Student Retention Center, and twenty-five student-initiated community service projects.
The CPO strives to increase students from under-served communities’ access to higher education, retention in the university, and graduation rates while also serving as a conscious effort in the community, working toward the empowerment of all people.
The mission of the Community Programs Office, UCLA’s cross-cultural center, is to build and nurture an inclusive and diverse community of scholars and leaders who are committed to giving back to historically marginalized communities by engaging, educating, and empowering students to develop and execute student-initiated, student-run outreach, service and retention programs.
We are committed to developing a new generation of dynamic leaders by shaping our students to become motivated, responsible, and critically conscious individuals and fostering a safe and positive environment where students can use their education as a vehicle for social change through direct action in the community.

UCLA offers over 1,300 student organizations including student government, academic, leadership, spiritual & religious, club sports, and community service organizations that you can get involved in.
UCLA is now home to over 65 inter/national and local Greek-letter organizations, six governing councils with approximately 3,800 students which represent 13% of the undergraduate student population. Engaging with together across the campus, UCLA’s fraternities and sororities are committed to academics, community service, and developing leaders within and beyond our community.
Health and Wellness
Health and Wellness are our first priorities for our students. UCLA offers comprehensive medical care through the Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center, including access to one of the highest-rated hospitals in the nation, located on the UCLA campus. Likewise, our Counseling and Psychological Services offer care options that range from wellness workshops to group therapy and long-term individual counseling.

UCLA LGBT Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Center at UCLA offers a comprehensive range of education and advocacy services supporting intersectional identity development as well as fostering unity, wellness, and an open safe, and inclusive environment for UCLA’s LGBT+ community.

Recreation
UCLA Recreation operates 14 different recreation venues with dozens of exercise and fitness programs, intramural athletics, and facilities for individual workouts.

Registrar’s Office & Financial Aid Info
Student Affairs works closely with its departments to assure they are assisting the over 31,000 undergraduate Bruins across the UCLA campus. The Registrar’s Office tracks courses and grades for each student in attendance. The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office will assist students in processing any financial help, while the Residential Life offers students a variety of academic support programs, cultural programs, and personal development opportunities.
